CD-Rom / DVD-Rom Packaging:
Customer may choose from custom packaging methods to suite their need. We offer the following packaging standards:
- Clear or colored Norelco Jewel Slim or Standard Cases
- Paper sleeves with or w/o windows
- Vinyl sleeves adhered to inside of book covers
- DVD Poly boxes
- Poly Clamshells
- Cardboard Mailers
- Bulk on spindle or bulk in cake boxes
Question: What are your lead-times for CD, DVD duplications in (XXXX qty.)?
Answer: We generally quote a 72- hour turn-around time from the time we receive your master, until we are ready to ship the finished product.
Question: Is the shipping cost included in the duplication price?
Answer: No, due to our low prices we are not able to cover the cost of shipping the media. We WILL arrange all of the details for shipping your finished product to you in a timely and safe manner.
Question: Can you ship by Experience?
Answer: I don't see why not. Generally we tend to send most products out via USPS. We have customers who prefer UPS or FEDEX and we are happy to accommodate.
scanning:
Question: What are your lead-times for scanning (XXXX pages)?
Answer: We generally quote a 48-hour turnaround time from the time we receive your master document, until we are ready to ship the finished product from 1 to 1500 pages size 8.5" x 11", A4 or smaller. Legal size and larger sizes are able to be scanned, however they are quoted on a job-by-job basis. Request a quote here for Large Format Scanning
Question: How will I receive the digital documents once they have been scanned?
Answer: We will furnish your documents in logical PDF documents according to the book, packet, etc. they were provided to us in. We are able to make many other arrangements after our initial consultation.
Question: Can you OCR and convert them to Word,WordPerfect, etc.?
Answer: We will tailor the project to your specifications. We are able to make many other arrangements after our initial free consultation.
Printing & terminologies:
Color call-outs in the trade:
b/w = 1 color
full color = 4 colors
Bleeds:
Full Bleed = Color is printed beyond borders and product is cut down
to size so color/images floods to the edge of the products
boundaries.
No Bleed = No portion of the printed material come within a critical
distance from any edge of the printed products boundaries.
Each sheet of paper has two sides thus:
'number of colors over (/) number of colors' or
4/4= Full color over full color
4/1= Full color over b/w
Paper weight:
80# Gloss Book for min weight
100# Gloss Book for best appearance & weight
100# Gloss Cover for heavy cover for catalogs & booklets
Card Stocks:
10 point Card Stock represents the min. book cover stock
12pt. & 14pt. stocks are good balance of cost to appearance
16pt. Represents thickest stock for book covers and business cards
Paper Coatings:
None or as printed on the type of paper called for in job bid
AQ Matte Style finish
UV1 1 SIDE Gloss Front
UV2 2 SIDES Gloss Front & Back
Printing Quantities:
m = k in pieces quoted (i.e. 5000m = 5000k)
Binding Terminology:
Perfect = A glue bound single edge often used in paperbacks
Saddle-Stitch = A folded and spine stapled product (i.e. magazine)
Comb = Plastic Spiral Comb Bound products offer flexibility and lay
flat well with 400 pages being the highest recommended page
counts.
Hard Bound = Clothe or Gloss paper Hard Covered books

Art must be supplied in one of the following formats for the printer(s) to offer the most competitive bids. All files submitted in formats not listed below may incur substantial cost increases to prep job(s) for press.
Embedded font(s) *MUST* be provided prior to a job(s) being accepted for production. Failure to supply font(s) will prevent your job(s) from being started promptly.
If your file(s) is currently in a format other than the formats listed above we can still provide services, however we must first determine what your needs are and quote accordingly.
Sheets vs. Pages:
Most booklets are made up of folded signatures and either saddle-stitched into a single booklet or collected into a group and bound into a volume such as in hard back books. If you are calling out a number of pages for a catalog say, 36 pages, the sheet count on the job would be 9 (pages divided by 4 = sheet count).
Booklet vs. Book:
Booklet = 50 pages or less
Book = 50+ pages
CD-Rom Duplication:
Duplication uses your 'Known Good' master to 'copy in mass' on-demand and quantity of either a Music or Data CD-Rom of up to 80 mins. of audio programming or 750 megs of Data per disc. Disc images can either be applied via a printed paper label, On-disc 6 color inkjet, silkscreen printed or offset direct printed.

Replication uses your 'Glass' master to 'Press' in volume quantities of 1000 pieces in either Music or Data CD-Roms of up to 80 mins. of audio programming or 750 megs of Data per disc. Disc images can either be applied via a silkscreen printed or offset direct printed process.
DVD-Rom Duplication:
